Arriving by car

Located between Florence and Siena, reaching us is easy - but please: do not rely solely on GPS!
The GPS does not recognize the address and will lead you to an incorrect destination and you will soon be lost! The GPS will often take difficult or unpleasant routes, so we encourage you to print and follow our instructions and include them in your travel documents.

It is possible to use GPS to get to “Panzano in Chianti” or use Google Maps (inserting B&B Fagiolari, Panzano in Chianti). Once you arrive in Panzano, you can also try to use the following Latitude/Longitude coordinates to arrive at Fagiolari: 43° 32’ 16” N, 11° 17’ 56” E. No guarantees!!

If you are driving south from Milano or Bologna on the A-1 autostrada, take the FIRENZE SUD exit. As you leave the toll station, take a right turn, following the signs to Greve and Siena on SR 222. About 22 km from the toll station, you’ll drive through Greve. Continue up the hill on SR 222 another 8 km and you’ll arrive in Panzano with its little piazza on the right. Turn right at the piazza and drive 0.2 km to where the road forks; take the left fork down the hill to a little roundabout. Drive through the roundabout and around to your right 50 meters and immediately past a low, pale-green building, on your left, you’ll find the unpaved lane to Fagiolari.

If you are driving from Florence Airport follow the direction to the A-1 autostrada. Follow signs for A-1 Roma, and once on the A-1, take the FIRENZE SUD exit. Then follow directions given to drivers from Milano or Bologna.

If you are driving north on the A-1 from Roma, you may also take the FIRENZE SUD exit and follow the above directions. Or you can take the VALDICHIANA exit and follow the Raccordo Siena-Bettolle (SS 715) to Siena where you’ll find SR 222 heading north to Castellina and Panzano. If you arrive in Panzano from Siena, when you are up on the hill before entering into the village, take the left fork on SP 118 towards Mercatale/San Casciano and drive 1.1 km to a little roundabout. Drive through the roundabout and around to your right 50 meters and immediately past a low, pale-green building, on your left, you’ll find the unpaved lane to Fagiolari.

If you are driving east from Pisa on the A-11 autostrada or the Fi-Pi-Li superstrada, you’ll come to the A-1 autostrada outside of Florence. Follow signs for A-1 Roma, and once on the A-1, take the FIRENZE SUD exit. Then follow directions given to drivers from Milano or Bologna.
